02 Apr Making insurance claims easier for our clients
I made a commitment to myself a few years ago to stop and celebrate the wins along the way. It’s too easy to lose sight of the journey when you’re focused on the goals – especially in these days of COVID when distractions are plentiful and good news is hard to come by. So I want to share our latest win with you.
Massago has been approved by TELUS Health as a Software Partner for their eClaims service. eClaims will enable our therapists to directly submit insurance claims for massage therapy on behalf of clients. Since most of our users rely on their extended healthcare coverage to pay for RMT, it’s pretty exciting news.
eClaims is a great fit for us, and a natural evolution of the Massago concept to deliver Canada’s most convenient way to access massage therapy. By eliminating the need to manually submit insurance claims, we’re ensuring that the entire Massago experience, from appointment booking to insurance claim, is easy and stress-free.
It will take 3 to 6 months for our development team to complete the integration of the eClaims service. Once the service is up and running, it will help us deliver a seamless experience by automatically verifying the client’s insurance coverage. They will only have to pay for the portion of the service not covered by their insurance. TELUS Health eClaims works with most of Canada’s popular insurance providers, including Canada Life, Manulife, Sun Life and Desjardins.
Our one-time integration with eClaims also paves the way for Massago to expand into other regulated healthcare verticals, such as physiotherapy and chiropractic, down the road.
We’re so very proud to be partnering with TELUS Health – a trailblazer that believes in the power of technology to create better health experiences for Canadians. Making it through their stringent vetting process is validation that Massago is growing to a scale where Canada’s largest health IT company is taking us seriously.
A big thank-you goes out to our team, our therapists and our clients who have helped us to get where we are today. We’re confident the stay-at-home era is here to stay. And I believe we are perfectly positioned to continue providing mobile health services in the comfort and convenience of home.
I can’t wait to follow-up with a launch date.
