Before an appointment

For every booking you are required to bring:
1. Massage table (if the client does not have one)
2. Lotion or oil
3. Massago receipt book
4. Identification (CMTO card and licence)
5. Your smart phone with Massago app installed
Customers are required to provide their own linens, but you may want to carry a set just in case.

As a Massago RMT you are required to wear black pants and a Massago t-shirt (provided in your welcome package). We expect all of our Massago RMTs to look professional and take pride in their appearance.

The success of Massago very much depends on our ability to provide an effortless experience.That means therapists must arrive on time. However,if you are running late, please communicate directly with the client though the app either via text message or phone call to let them know when you expect to arrive.

Just fill out the Massago RMT Request Form and email it to support@massago.ca. All requested supplies will be sent directly to you via Canada Post Xpresspost. We’d really appreciate a heads up so that we can keep track of how many therapists are available in each region. Please email support@massago.ca to let us know when you will be away.

Arriving and doing the "paperwork"

Some clients may ask you to show identification when you arrive. Please make sure you always have your CMTO card with you as well as your licence. We encourage you to show photo ID to avoid any awkwardness.

Massago does remind the client to fill out the electronic intake paperwork prior to arrival. However you may need to ask them to fill out the form while you are setting up.

You will be e-mailed a unique password to access the online charting system so that you can view client files, create notes and reference treatment history.

For each booking you must issue a manual receipt using the Massago receipt books provided in your welcome package. You can view the client’s payment method (credit card, promotion, gift card) from the app to be able to issue the receipt correctly according to CMTO regulations.

Getting paid

After you have finished each booking, a summary will be emailed to you for your records. You are also able to view all information in the My Account section of the app.

If you have been registered to collect and remit HST, please update your information in the My Account section of the app. Once updated, you will automatically receive your portion of HST.

To update your banking information please complete the Massago Bank Information Form and send it directly to accounting@massago.ca.

If something goes wrong ...

You can connect with the client using the Massago app.
1. Call them directly or send them a text message to confirm that you are at the correct address/suite.
2. If the client does not respond or does not return to the location, you can leave after 10 minutes.
3. Remember to press the start massage button in the app and end massage so that the app can begin to process payment.

We would ask you to make every effort to avoid having to cancel, as it is a difficult process and makes a negative impression. However, we do recognize that it is sometimes unavoidable. Please try to provide sufficient notice so that the client can rebook with another therapist for the same time. Here are the steps to take if you need to cancel a booking:
1. Call 416-613-1000 as soon as possible and follow the instructions.
2. Upon hearing from you, we will reach out to the client to cancel the scheduled appointment.
3. The client will be instructed to make a new booking request through the app so that another RMT can respond.

If your phone has been lost or stolen, call us at 416-613-1000. Please clearly state your first name, last name, city and a phone number where you can be reached. We will be able to assist you manually until you are back up and running with a new smart phone.

Call 416-613-1000 immediately or email support@massago.ca to report any inappropriate behaviour from a client. Massago will not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour and will immediately remove the client from the Massago system. If you ever feel uncomfortable, we ask that you leave immediately.
