We work exclusively with therapists who are registered and in good standing with their province’s college of massage therapists, or in the case of non-regulated provinces, with the governing massage associations. We also follow a vigorous vetting process for therapists that includes a police background check and confirmation of professional credentials, multiple in-person interviews and a practical exam.

We tilt the split in favour of our therapists.  You will earn between $90-$132 per massage.

In our busiest urban markets like downtown Toronto, where parking and traffic congestion can make it harder for you to get to appointments, we charge premium pricing to make it worth your while. 

From time to time, Massago may send out promotional offers to clients. Massago will cover the full cost of any promotion. You will always receive the full rate.

By the way, if you are registered to collect HST/GST/PST, we will add it to the client’s total on your behalf.  

As a Massago therapist, you are self employed and choose the hours that work best for you. Massago operates from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  

You accept the appointments you want and pass on any you don’t. The app automatically offers the appointment to therapists who are geographically closest to the appointment location. If there is no therapist locally who wants to take the appointment, the app will then notify therapists further away.

Massago is Canada’s original and most popular mobile app for on-demand massage therapy – connecting massage therapists with clients who want the convenience of receiving treatment in their home or office. While our app came on the scene in 2016, the people behind it have been working in the massage business for over 20 years.

Massago currently operates in urban centres across Ontario, with plans to expand across Canada. If we are not currently in your city, we encourage you to register now to expedite our expansion into new markets. We need a large network of great therapists to make Massago work!

Safety has always been, and will continue to be a major consideration for us. Massago is one of a few companies in Canada utilizing an app-based identity verification tool. To register as a Massago user, the client is required to take a picture of a government-issued identification (license, passport, etc.). This information is sent to a third party to confirm that the ID is valid. If there is any doubt, the registration will not proceed.

We’ve also built a feature into the app that will automatically notify us if you haven’t ended your appointment, which will prompt us to immediately check in with you.

Tipping is optional, but encouraged. At the end of each service, the client is prompted to add a tip. They can choose from suggested amounts – 15%, 18% or 20% – or input any other amount they want.

No. The benefit of working with Massago is that you can choose the appointments that work best with your schedule and location. You will never be asked to be “on call” for Massago. If you want to receive appointment requests, keep the app open on your mobile phone. If you don’t, just close the app.

Yes. Appointments are managed entirely through the Massago app, which works with most Android and iOS operating systems.

Your payment, including any tip, is processed automatically at the end of the massage session. The transfer is completed within 6 business days. To get you set up in our system, we’ll ask you to provide your bank account details.

Massago was certainly a game changer for both clients and therapists when it was first launched. Yet the concept was quickly and enthusiastically embraced as just another (much more convenient) way to access massage therapy. As a therapist working with Massago, you’ll continue to provide the same high quality therapeutic services you do now (we offer Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage, Prenatal massage and Sports massage), and continue to fulfil the professional requirements of your college or association.

Upon confirmation of their first booking with Massago, the client is sent a health history form electronically, which they complete and submit prior to their appointment. Any Massago therapist who sees the client after that can access the chart on our secure online charting system by smartphone, tablet or computer.

We can help you with that. If you don’t own a portable massage table you will be able to purchase one from us at a preferred rate.
